A comment on The Great Insurance Lie?

This is so true. The adjusters are practicing law and giving legal advice. Bad advice at that. We often tell people that things are OK, after a review with the cases where the insurance company has been following the law. The client gets real legal advice and gets a real review of their rights. Your question of why would the adjuster care, is exactly right.

A comment on Hip Replacement Gone Bad - Zimmer Durom Cup

Thanks for writing. I regret hearing about your hip problems. Your orthopedic surgeon could easily tell you if you have a Durom Cup by Zimmer. Likewise, you can order your surgical records and that would also contain the information. I will gladly assist in any way as I represent quite a lot of patients with Zimmer issues. Please call me if you have any questions.

A comment on Hip Replacement Gone Bad - Zimmer Durom Cup

Thursday, Oct 29, 2009, is a BLACK day in my memory. I had a 6 month check-up scheduled with my Orthopedic surgeon to x-ray my total hip implant (placed Jan/2007) because there was an area of concern where the bone mass had not adhered to the inner aspect of the cup area. WOW! my total cup socket had migrated further into the pelvis, thus explaining the extreme muscle spasms I had experienced in the last 2 months. Today I had a 3-D CT Scan, ordered to use crutches, and am anticipating surgery again. I have an apt Thursday to hear the results. How do I find out if my Zimmer implant has the Durom cup in question? I am feeling like I am one of these statistics I just read about.

A comment on Yamaha In Rhino ATV Liability Case

Hmmm, where to begin. I guess Greg is just another of those worthless lawyers that love morons that don't want to take responsibility for their own actions. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission DID NOT issue a recall for the Rhino, Yamaha VOLUNTARILY halted sales of the Rhino until upgrades, based on the CPSC recomendations were made.

Cases like this should NEVER be allowed to waste our courts time based on the FACTS. The child was underage, not wearing a helmet or a seatbelt.

Ther real question here should be why weren't his parents arrested and prosecuted for child endangerment and murder? It isn't Yamaha's fault the kid was born with stupid parents.

A comment on Yamaha In Rhino ATV Liability Case

This is the first sensible noews I've heard since these lawsuits began. At least the court realized the ridiculousness of this suit. Especially, since the child was 13, it should have been a no-go from the start. It says right in the Rhino dashboard, "No children under 16." I don't care if the child was outfitted in full football pads and helmet, if he was under 16 and got injured while driving, it is the parents fault for letting him drive when he's not supposed to.

When are people going to take responsibility for their own actions? The Yamaha Rhino is not dangerous, people who do stupid things like not wearing a heltmet or seatbelt are dangerous.

A comment on FDA Panel Urges Ban on Vicodin, Percocet

I am sorry to here that you sufer from severe pain. To date the FDA has not taken any action to ban the drugs. I would recommend your discussing the other options for pain control with your doctor as he knows your medical and prescription history. Being a lawyer I cannot offer any treatment option or opinion. I have recently had a severe injury and resultant surgery which I am currently recovering from. I took vicodin and I have to admit it worked very well in relieving my pain. I wish you the best in your health issues.

i currently take vicodin for severe pain along with another pain medication. my doctor allows me to take 10mg/4 times a day. if vicodin is discontinued, what would the doctor need to assist me in staying free of or almost free of pain?

A comment on Was Negligence the Cause of a Boat Explosion on Lake Norman?

You can delete those last three, apparently the enter button only makes Post Comment work, it doesn't actually give me an extra line, nor does shift-enter. At any rate, Mike, I think it's in very poor taste to post this on an open forum. You should be contacting the family of Nate if you want to represent them in a negligence case. It's obvious that you have a knack for ruffling people's feathers so I'm sure you're an excellent attorney but really, it wasn't until everyone said show a little respect that you actually did, show a little respect. Maybe you should re-read your first post?

A comment on Was Negligence the Cause of a Boat Explosion on Lake Norman?

Here, here! Finally a post which does not try to paint a very unrealistic picture of Westport. I have had a boat there for many years in the past and I can tell you first hand that anyone who says that Westport is perfect does not have a true view of things. I agree the people there are nice, but that does not mean that they are not responsible for the death of such a wonderful young man. I will be one who does wait for the final investigation, but would also urge the family to inquire with the state for an investigation of there own, because as nice as the people in Denver are, some things are just over their heads, and I believe this investigation is one of them. As far as Westport goes, if negligence is involved I hope the family takes all recourse allowed them under the law. And as for Lowery, if there was a problem, perhaps its time to step forward and speak rather than mysteriously staying quiet when a young man lost his life at at your marina.
