Harrisburg Man Dies After Hitting a Fire Truck

A 51-year-old man from Harrisburg died after driving his car into a Charlotte Fire Truck that was at the scene of another car accident. The accident happened on Interstate 85 around Sugar Creek Road on Sunday night.

But there are still many unanswered questions. State troopers, who are investigating the incident, said Terrell was likely traveling at 60 to 65 miles per hour before the collision.

However, because there were no brake marks, troopers don't know if the victim even saw the fire truck before making impact.

Two firefighters were also injured in the accident. The injuries were only minor ones and they are recovering.
