A woman who had just registered her car in North Carolina got into a fatal car accident last week. The car accident happened on U.S. 58. The driver and five passengers in the car were all killed. It is believed that they were all from New York City.

The westbound car crossed a grassy median just after 4 p.m. Tuesday and collided head-on with a truck. Two men in the truck, which was destroyed, suffered minor injuries. Relatives said the family was in North Carolina to get car insurance and planned to vacation in Virginia Beach. Car insurance, which is needed to register a car, is cheaper in North Carolina than in New York.

Five of the people in the car were siblings. The police are still investigating the accident. It is unknown what the cause of the accident is yet.
