An Officer on the Torrington Police force was responding to an emergency call when her police cruiser was struck by another car as she went through an intersection. The driver of the other vehicle was not at fault.

As she made her way through the intersection near Wolcott Avenue, she was struck by another vehicle with two female passengers.
The passengers in the second vehicle were taken to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital with minor injuries and Farfan was not injured, Chief Robert Milano said Monday.
"The investigation is continuing," Milano said. "It was not the fault of the other vehicle."
Milano said the supervisor on the shift investigates any accident with police cruisers and the department will look into the incident to make sure all procedures were followed before Farfan entered the intersection.
"She had her (emergency) lights on," Milano said.

The Officer may have been at fault and the Police Chief is still reviewing the accident.
